Shoulder hex bolts
Similar to a socket bolt, shoulder hex bolts have got a standard hex head. However, shoulder bolts have a “shoulder” across the shaft of the bolt. This shoulder is unthreaded and lets the bolt slide smoothly through joining pieces to provide a pivot point. The threaded part of the shaft has a smaller diameter than the smooth shoulder, allowing it to fasten at the other side of the pivot.

A wide portfolio
With our extensive knowledge and experience, we at CalScrew are accustomed to creating tailored products designed to meet clients’ needs while adhering to industry requirements. We specialize in the production of fasteners which have been precision made to our customers’ specifications and appropriately certified to meet industry standards. As such, to date we have produced more than 25,000 different part numbers ranging from flat fillet screws to shoulder hex bolts, clevis bolts to washer head screws.

Quality materials
To ensure the quality of our products, we carefully choose the suppliers that we work with, tracking the performance of each vendor to ensure that they meet our exceptionally high standards. In addition, our products are created in compliance with DFARS (10 USC 2533b(h)(3)), which certifies that at least half of the specialty materials purchased by CalScrew have been made from domestically melted metal.
